Incorrect, Mr. Watt the inventor of the horsepowers, measured horsepower with ponies. He figured a horse is 50% more powerful than a pony, which is wrong, and that’s where we got our horsepower. Really, 1 horse is 0.7 hp. Fascinating. Sorry for the long rant.
